Matthias Roesti - Personal Website

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in economics based at the University of St. Gallen, where I am affiliated with the Swiss Institute for International Economics and Applied Economic Research. In Fall 2024, I will join the Digital Data Design Institute at Harvard University (Harvard Business School) as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

I hold a PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of St. Gallen, an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bern. Click here to access my CV.

My research focuses on various aspects of political economy and environmental economics, including the role of trust in cooperative behavior, the adoption of green behavior and technologies, and lobbying and media. Further areas of interest include behavioral economics and, more generally, applications combining data science/computational social science and pressing policy questions.
